Notice your advert in the JC about some poor guy who lost his olives. How about an advert about the tens of thousands of trees which have been wantonly and maliciously burned in recent times?
Put a picture ofthe rockets that are fired on innocent Jews in Sderot.
Put a picture of your friend Nassralah hugging Ajamedad who wants to destroy Israel. That is clearly what you all want. You do a lot of harm to our brethren in Isreal who are living in grave danger. You are helping Hamas, and the antisemites. Why? Because you are insecure and want to be loved by the Goyim.
I see the nutters have hijacked this debate.
By the way Sarah, your post is the most racist statement I've seen in a long time. What a nasty, spiteful little person you must be. So full of bile, so full of sneering hatred for those who do not agree with you, that you can only come up with an immature and ridiculous false dichotomy of "either you support militant Zionism or you are a Nazi who wants to destroy all Jews".
Think of that one all by yourself, did you?
I have a question for IJV - what is your purpose?
I mean, clearly the signatories of the IJV are not represented by the Board of Deputies since the Board is elected by synagogues and on the whole the members of IJV are not members of synagogues. I wonder when the last time (if ever) Stephen Fry or Eric Hobsbawm entered a synagogue was.
It also seems fairly clear that the Board is doing what it is supposed to do - namely representing the majority opinion of British Jews.
So, what is it that IJV hope to achieve? Why do they come together as "Jews" to do it? May I put it to you that your main aim is not in helping Palestinians but in helping yourselves. Perhaps it is to curry favour with left-wing anti-Israelnicks as Sarah suggested but perhaps it is simply that you hope to break the stereotype that all Jews support Israel.
What I find most odd about this is that only a moron would expect that all Jews or even all British Jews support Israeli actions all the time given that inside Israel itself there is much debate about every action and never unanimous approval.
As I'm sure all members of IJV are fully supportive of democracy, we must ask why they speak out against the BoD when that organisation is simply following the majority view.
Anyway, in brief, I would really appreciate an explanation of what IJV hopes to achieve and, in particular, whether it is motivated in any way by the belief that it can help reduce anti-Semitism in the UK by openly stating its opposition to Israel as Jews?

What do you think should be in future IJV adverts? Please feel free to post general suggestions or specific text.
